First, “business trip” doesn’t always mean for his work. It is most likely a “non of your business trip”. Second, he’s not likely cheating on his wife. She knows he’s leaving, and she also knows it’s not a business trip. If he’s lying, it’s likely to you. Maybe he’s embarrassed that he hasn’t landed a job and doesn’t want the whole neighborhood knowing about it. Or maybe it’s some other illegal activity. And last, if he IS in the Mafia, he would never admit it to you. Nor could you ever work for him unless your a full-blooded Italian. Do not ask him about this. If he is, he could never tell you, and if he isn’t, it is terrifically offensive to Italian-Americans. Good luck, and mind your own business.

Mafia Hunh?, Great thinking there, there may be some family money, or maybe they sued someone for something and get mandated payments for that. Maybe one of them got hurt on the job and their old job is still having to pay them. Maybe he invented something and sold it. The important thing is your watching to many shows on tv and putting your nose in someone else’s business. Not cool. Just be a good neighbor and don’t tell people what you think, and just in case there is a one in a gazillion chance he is mafia you don’t want to draw attention to yourself by saying anything to other neighbors or friends. It probably wouldn’t be a good thing. Get the drift?

WTF, I am from Jersey too & living in Indiana, I have went home a few times for Business & everyone thinks I am in the Mafia.
& just because he has nice things doesn’t mean he is in the Mafia.
& You can’t join the Mafia, You have to be from Sicily (A part of Italy) & In the family..
Also, I hate it when I wear my suit for a Job Intervies (Yea its Pin Stripe, The way people look at me & ask me if I am in the Mafia, Damnit it pisses me the Fu*k off.
